YOU AND ME WE'RE ON THE SAME WAVELENGTH ...

So said the new gent sorting through the donations at age concern Gillingham when he spied me snapping up the vintage 70s curtains ( that I'd purchased once before a couple of months previously then forgotten to put in my bag , duuh !) and guided me towards a shelf of vintage trays saying in that case youll love this unaware that I was already one step ahead of him and had already snapped up the psychedelic flower power one for the bargain price of 25p.

Inspecting my other purchases of this fab dress or possibly night dress that I plan to hack into a mini and wear with opaque black tights and Victorian boots , a peter pan collared blouse he made the above statement and told me he was an artist when he wasn't unpacking and steaming other peoples clothing and that if he found any other vintage stuff he'd keep it aside for me.
YAY ! It's pays to look like a ram raid on your grans wardrobe at times .

so what did I get this week ,

this is the fab dress I plan to turn into a fine and dandy mini

dress/nightdress , who knows but I plan to hack a couple of inches off the bottom of this and turn it into
a mini , perfect for dancing the night away at kent soul club come the 20th December

THEN next up we have that blouse , those curtains ( that was £3 well re-spent ) , the fabuloso tray and a couple of films that im actually slightly embarrassed to admit I haven't ever seen yet despite their cult status , but that will change shortly for the price of 99p each.

I wonder what I'll find next week , stay tuned and I'll let you know

P.S - CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT ABOUT THIS LITTLE FELLA , WELL I COULD HARDLY LEAVE HIM THERE ALONE ON THE SHELF WITH A FACE ONLY A MOTHER COULD LOVE FOR 49P COULD I !

I LOVE A GOOD RUMMAGE ...

When im not writing for the local newspaper , being mum to two splendid young boys or being bundled by overenthusiastic cats theres something else I like to do .
While others may get their retail therapy high from shopping of the expensive kind , I get mine from outlets that are a little easier on the pocket and where you never know just what you might find .

So welcome to this new blog and I hope you enjoy the life of the charity shopaholic .
